OK, not the baby, but the hat. The mommy and daddy of this little darling call it "A Bear You Wear". He cried like anythng when they put it on him, but you would not know it from this picture. I am very proud of this hat! I actually finished something that I started. Now to finish the hat that I am making for Chei.

Looking for "ation"... no it's not a typo
OK, so this is not a NEW picture, but I love the face he is making. We have spent all weekend
doing wedding invitations. I should take a picture of them. I am so pleased with how they have turned out so far. They are beautiful. Unfortunately I have been doing them in exclusion to working on my thesis. I am just avoiding it...I think I need some inspiration or motivation or some other "ation" word...

Q of P
The Queen of Procrastination. That should be my new title. I am supposed to be working on my final project for school and I just don't want to. I did a little today but... I am so done with school. So done. I am also the queen of depression tonight. Blah blah blah... maybe it's the heat.

A visitor...
I came home from the grocery store today and this littel guy was sitting on the wall outside my door. It was sp beautiful that I just had to photograph it. I am going to take it as a sign of good things to come. Dragonflies are my talisman these days. They are so beautiful and free... sometimes I wish I could fly away like a dragonfly.

Just what I needed...
As I was walking to my
car yesterday morning, I came across a black cat that looked very much like my little Pepper. I stopped and greeted the little darling and he jumped to rub against my legs. I knelt down and played with this little cat for a few moments, but I really had to get to work. I could not help but think of Pepper and I felt that in some strange way the two cats were connected. I got in my car and felt very happy. AND... as I was checking the mail this morning, the cat made another appearance. This time, I he came up to me and simply rubbed against my legs! That little cat really made my week. I don't buy the whole black cat crossing your path is bad luck thing.

Photographs
I love looking at photos. Especially interesting ones. I wish I had a really sweet camera and that I had gobs of time to just go out and take interesting photos. Looking at a strangers photos is the best. Sometimes I like to go to Google Images and search for random things. You can find ramdom vacation photos, family photos, photos of weddings, birthdays... almost anything you can think of. I like to try to put stories to the pictures or think about what is going on around the picture. It's a brief moment in time that is forever captured, no matter how fleeting the actual moment was.
I am in the process of collecting pictures of family members. I am trying to create a special project to honor our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents on their wedding day. I spent some time with my mother and grandmother after my great-grandmother, Emma passed away. We found this very 60's looking picture album that was loaded with all kinds of photographic gems. I found a picture of my great-grandmother from before she got married and it was like looking in a mirror! I also saw pictures of my great-great grandmother. I actually knew her. She passed away when I was 6 years old. Photos of my family remind me of how very lucky I am. I have been surrounded by some very strong women and I take a lot of strength from that today.

Paris...
Oui, Paris. Chris and I finalized our honeymoon today. We are leaving the Monday after the wedding for 7 nights and 8 days in Paris. It's so romantic is it almost cliche. We are staying at a beautiful hotel in the Opera district. Ahh... November in Paris. Strolls on the quai, visiting the Louvre, Versailles and the Musee D'Orsay. It will undoubtedly be cool weather-wise, but I am sure I won't even feel it... I will be too insanely happy!

Creative Buzz...
My very good friends Steve and Lisa got married last night. I have to say that it was perhaps the most fun I have ever had at a wedding. I danced a lot and I don't dance so much. It just felt good to move.
So this morning was to be my "sleep in" morning. Finally. After three weeks of having to do something in the morning, I have a whole day with a blank slate. And what did I do??? My body woke up at 8:00 am! And now I am wide awake, but I am feeling very creative. I feel another edition of the Aisle Files coming on...

Musicorexic...
I cannot remember the last time I did music for me. It has been a terribly empty part of my life for the past few years. All day long, I make music for other people. Yes I sing, yes I play, but it is different than doing it for yourself. It is almost like a chef who works around food all day who neglects to eat anything himself.

Snow Day...
Today, I was supposed to have class. The universe transpired against us and we were in class for only 2 1/2 hours. I already cleared my schedule for the day, the roads are bad and now, I actually have time to relax. What a concept! At last a break from my chaos...
